Simon Crosby

Simon Crosby (1609-1639), was the first Crosby emigrant from England in 1635. He sailed on the “Susan and Ellen” from London, England and arrived at Bay Colony (Cambridge), Massachusetts in July of that year. His 8 week old baby son Thomas, survived the journey and became “Rev. Thomas Crosby”, whose lineage forms a vast number of descendants in America.

Sources

Accurate genealogy research requires resources that are well researched and if possible based on original sources.  These original sources are usually census records, birth, death, and marriage certificates, court records, and written family histories.  In addition, there are many published works by professional genealogists, who also rely on these original records, but assemble them into a single publication.  The records and stories in this website are based on the records in this section.

Family Tree

The traditional method for displaying family history is the structured Family Tree.  This is a good method to trace linkages from family member to family member.  What this method does not do is to tell the day to day story of real people.  Look at the other links on this page for those stories.

Fun and Famous

Places

Places are where significant events further define a family or a branch of a family.  It may be a family excursion into Cuba, dry land farming in Montana, or

cemeteries, just as examples.
